Greek born Makris Wins The Sagamu Auto Rally cross 2017

The two-day world Class Auto Rally Cross and Golf Championship tournaments took Place in Shagamu, Ogun State on Saturday and Sunday.
The event was being put together by Work & Play, an event marketing company in conjunction with SMT Volvo and the National Automotive Design and Development Council.

The Sagamu event is the introductory part of the rally billed to take part in Lagos and other parts of the Country in time to come.
She further explained that the two day event kicked off with the Rally Cross on the first day which entail state of the art vehicles from Toyota, JAC and other models slugging it out to the admiration of visitors.

The Special guest of honor Commander Clement Oladele, FRSC Sector Commander, Ogun State in his opinion said he was impressed with the safety measures taken to making the event a memorable accident FREE event. He advice that since safety is key all drivers must adhere to safety while on the road.
In his own remark, a staff of SMT Volvo sole sponsor of the Sagamu golf tournament said they noticed that in Nigeria,it is all about work and no play. So they are happy to associate with the event as it engaged people and take away the stress like in most part of the world.

The Rally Cross was in different segments including off-road (for SUVs) on-road for Sedans as well as other racing for bikes.

The event was open to the general public including children from the community and from some  secondary schools in the environ they participated  in various games such as dancing competition  bouncing castle, quiz and the winners went home with beautiful  gifts .

The event brought people from all walks of life to share business ideas. It also encouraged direct marketing among participants too.
It created avenue for networking and networthing.

Peter Makris emerged as the winner of the race and got a cash prize of One Hundred Thousand and lots of gifts while Mr Adrain Egonu came Second and Babatunde Ojosipe emerged third position.
